Calm Before the Storm

Celebrated my brother’s birthday in Madison, after socializing at the house, we set off for the Old Fashioned.  I wanted to work on my Wisconsin beer passbook so I ordered a few to help get some check marks.

I wanted to try the Capital Supper Club Lager first because I’m a fan of a Capital’s other brews.  But this one just wasn’t anything special, 4/10.  I’ll probably have it again sometime to re-evaluate, but with so much other beer out there for me to try, it may get passed on.

Next up, I selected Ale Asylum’s Bedlam Belgian IPA.  It was hoppy delicious, with enough sweet to balance.  I give this an 8/10 and will try again.
